Genesee Early College is an intensive, state-of-the-art, five-year early college high school program. GEC, which is operated by the Genesee Intermediate School District, has been a fully integrated part of the University of Michigan-Flint community since 2007. It’s socialized curriculum prepares students for success in university-level coursework and future careers in any field. GEC students get a

head start on their four-year degree paths, allowing them to earn up to 60 free transferable college credits while earning their high school diploma.

Congratulations to Sima Gutierrez! We are proud to recognize Sima as a Good Citizen Award recipient, honored by the Genesee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. This award recognizes students who demonstrate Dependability, Service, Leadership, and Patriotism.
