Mark you calendars! 09/12/26 11 AM - 3 PM.
Genesee County Department of Veterans Services is excited to host the Veterans Resource Rally at Elms Park, bringing together organizations, community partners, and supporters dedicated to serving the men and women who served our country.
This community event will connect veterans and their families with valuable resources, including benefits assistance, healthcare information, employment support, and local services. We are currently seeking vendors and sponsors who would like to be part of this important event.
Vendors will have the opportunity to share their services directly with the veteran community, while sponsors will help make the event possible and show their commitment to those who served.
If your organization is interested in hosting a vendor table or becoming a sponsor, please contact Lauren today. Join us in supporting our local veterans and making this rally a meaningful and impactful day for the community.

Student Veterans and Alumni! Genesee County Department of Veterans Services is looking for volunteers to assist with the Moving Wall. If interested, please reach out to them directly!
🇺🇸 The Vietnam Moving Wall is Coming to Genesee County 🇺🇸
Genesee County Department of Veterans Services is proud to partner with Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 175 to bring the Vietnam Moving Wall to Bluebell Beach this summer. This powerful traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial carries the names of more than 58,000 service members who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War.
This partnership reflects our shared commitment to ensuring that our Vietnam Veterans and the families of the fallen are never forgotten. The Moving Wall offers our community a chance to reflect, remember, and pay tribute in a meaningful and personal way, right here at home.
We invite residents, veterans, families, and community members to visit Bluebell Beach this summer to experience this moving tribute and stand together in honor of those who served.
We are currently seeking volunteers to help with setting up and dismantling the Wall, as well as volunteers to assist during visiting hours. This is a meaningful opportunity to serve those who served and to support our local Vietnam veterans and Gold Star families.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like to become a sponsor, please contact Bill Smith at 810-348-3188.

9/11/2001. We must NEVER forget. Many of our students enlisted or re-enlisted BECAUSE of 9/11/2001. We thank you sincerely for your dedication, and we are always here for you.
Today, we pause to reflect, remember and honor the memory of those we lost, and in gratitude to those who courageously responded. Twenty-four years ago and it still seems like only yesterday.
