🍁🎃 Fall Fun at Flushing Farms! 🍎🍩

Our K–5 students had a FALL-tastic time at Flushing Farms yesterday! 🍂

From bouncing around on the bounce houses to enjoying hayrides and barrel rides, finding our way through corn mazes, and treating ourselves to delicious c***r and doughnuts, it was a day full of laughter, smiles, and fall memories! 🚜🌽🍎

We loved seeing our students enjoy all the fun that fall has to offer while making special memories with their classmates! 💙

🍁 Nothing beats a beautiful fall day with our Holy Rosary family! 🍁

Virtue of the Week: Courtesy

Courtesy is more than just good manners, it’s a reflection of how we value and respect the people around us. When we practice small acts of kindness, active listening, and thoughtful words every day, we build stronger relationships and create a more welcoming environment for everyone.

Everyday ways to practice courtesy:

💬 Use Power Words: Simple phrases like "Please," "Thank you," and "Excuse me" go a long way in showing appreciation and respect.

🤝 Lend a Helping Hand: Small actions, such as holding the door or sharing resources, brighten someone else’s day.

👂 Listen Attentively: Giving someone your full attention without interrupting shows that you truly value their voice.

💛 Treat Everyone with Respect: Kindness and empathy build trust and connection across all ages.

Step back thousands of years! 🏛️✨

Our 4th and 5th graders have been diving deep into Social Studies as they explore Ancient Mesopotamia, the cradle of civilization! 🌍

To bring history to life, students learned about ziggurats, the massive stepped temple towers built in ancient cities like Ur and Babylon. But they didn't just read about them in textbooks... they put their architectural skills to work and built their very own 3D models! 🧱📐

Swipe through to see our young historians and their incredible creations. We might just have some future engineers and architects on our hands! 👏

October is double the celebration at Holy Rosary! Not only is it National Principals Month, but today is also Boss’ Day, giving us the perfect reason to give a huge shoutout to our leader, Mr. Callahan! 🌟

From supporting our teachers and guiding our students to keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, Mr. Callahan leads our school with dedication, kindness, and heart every single day.

We are so grateful for everything you do for our school family, Mr. Callahan! 💙

🎉 Virtue of the Week: Magnanimity! 🎉

This week, we are celebrating Magnanimity-the greatness of heart and mind that drives us to act with generosity, courage, and nobility. We are so proud of our students who demonstrated extraordinary kindness and leadership!

Congratulations to our Virtue of the Week winners:

K/1: Linus

2/3: Trevor

4/5: Bibi

6/7: Jeb

8th Grade: Ty

As a special bonus, you might notice our students looking extra comfy-cozy today! To support our parish's food pantry, our amazing kids stepped up and brought in rolls of toilet paper to help neighbors in need. As a thank-you for their great generosity, everyone earned a cozy dress-down day!

Thank you to our winners for setting such a fantastic example, and to all of our students for showing true magnanimity in action! 🧻❤️✨
