A big shout out to Lt. Rudy Lopez from the Genesee County Sheriff’s Department for coming out this morning to educate our SGP staff and a few church parishioners in ALICE Training for our building. Keeping staff informed and prepared is a top priority for St. George Preschool and the St. George Orthodox Church alike!! Many thanks again, Lt. Lopez!!

St. George Preschool teachers have returned for our upcoming 2026/2027 school year with an active, pizza making, team building, start to our year!! “If you were a pizza topping, what would you be?”, was the question of the day. These were just a few answers…

“Cheese..because I like melting people together”
“Pepperoni…because I’m spicy.”
“Mushroom…because I’m adaptable”
“Pineapple…because I’m sweet”

Silly? Well, maybe but from rolling dough, to cutting green peppers to building a salad to setting out plates to the clean-up crew and everything else in between…we learned that every ‘ingredient and cook’ is important in the final product. Just like a pizza topping, every teacher has an important role and brings individual gifts that leads to a successful school year. Welcome back teachers!!

Today was the end of another successful school year! These ladies are the backbone of the classrooms at St. George Preschool…filling their students with love and understanding while fostering socialization and emotional development. They listen, teach sharing , teach the foundational skills of letters and numbers, colors and shapes and are all so caring to each of their students and their families!! The relationships built with our SGP families are everlasting with the GSRP program! We will miss you 2025-2026 students and families!! Thank you for growing more learners, Teachers! ❤️
