When I saw this cover a few months ago by and I was inspired to make it into this 2ft x 3ft light catcher. I transferred the image by hand-painting the ink section with acrylic paint onto a clear acrylic sheet. Then, on the reverser side, I laboriously cut out and adhered translucent colored sheets. The whole process took over 80 hours over 2 months.

I’m still finalizing the frame and will update once complete

Almost complete... a few more flesh tones to go. You can see that Mary has a slight green under painting layer. I’ll continue to apply thin layers of skin tones on top of that which will bring life and depth to the composition.
