Grayson has been a student at HAA since January 2019, studying guitar with Dr. Tom. Along the way, Grayson has also taken many piano, drum, vocal, saxophone, banjo, bass, and flute lessons with other HAA instructors. Over the past couple of years, Grayson has worked as an intern at HAA, supporting theater productions and recitals, transitioning to the new building, and assisting in the front office.

In addition to performing in HAA’s recitals, Grayson has played guitar for HAA’s open house and in HAA’s Showcase at the Hunterdon County 4-H Fair with his band, Contorted Cabin. Contorted Cabin, which includes three HAA music students, also kicked off HAA’s new Student Performance Showcase series. Throughout all four years of high school, Grayson has played classical guitar with the NJMEA Honors Guitar Ensemble/NJ Guitar Orchestra Youth Ensemble, thanks to the influence and teachings of Dr. Tom.

Following graduation from Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Grayson will continue working as a summer camp counselor. In mid-August, Grayson is off to Wells School of Music at West Chester University in Pennsylvania where he will be a Music Education major and a member of WCU’s Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band, playing alto saxophone. Congratulations Grayson!

Abby has been part of the HAA community for over five years. During that time, she has participated in private vocal lessons with Ms. Susan, performed in numerous stage productions, and, over the past year, taken on the rewarding role of supporting younger students as they prepare for their performances. Throughout her time at HAA, Abby has grown as a musician, performer, and person, while also having the opportunity to perform in her high school musical, sing in honors choirs, and travel across Europe as a vocalist.

This fall, she will attend Mount Holyoke College, where she plans to study biology and pursue music by joining one of the college's a ca****la groups. Abby is excited for this next chapter and is deeply appreciative of the support, encouragement, and opportunities she has received through HAA over the years.
