Hunterdon County Polytech

Last night at the Board meeting, HCVSD Superintendent Dr. Todd Bonsall was recognized by the Hunterdon County Superintendents’ Association as the Hunterdon County Superintendent of the Year. Our Board of Education and the Hunterdon County Commissioners proudly celebrated this accomplishment.

Graphic Design alumna Amy St. Miklosy designed the poster for the upcoming 250th Anniversary Parade in Flemington!

Amy has an internship with the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce this summer, and she credits Polytech with helping connect her with this opportunity.

We want to once again recognize the Hunterdon County Vocational School District 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year, Chef Robert Bier, with a photo from this year's luncheon! Also pictured are HCVSD Superintendent Dr. Todd Bonsall and County Superintendent Juan Torres.

Chef Bier is the instructor of our Culinary Arts & Hospitality Program here at Hunterdon Polytech. He has over 20 years of foodservice industry experience, including working in commercial baking at Wegmans, serving as a Sous Chef at a high-volume, upscale steak and seafood restaurant on the Jersey Shore, and holding leadership roles as Food Service-Dietary Manager and Executive Chef in healthcare facilities. He creates a classroom environment where students feel supported and encouraged to keep trying, even when challenges arise, so they can develop confidence and mastery of their skills. We are so thankful to have Chef Bier in our district and for the positive impact he has on both his students and fellow staff each day!! Congrats Chef! 👏

Friday was Dirt Bike Funday at the Polytech North Campus. Welding and Diesel classes got together and showed off and chatted about their rides! A great time!

Friday afternoon was Mrs. H’s last Welding class. She’s onto bigger things at the Polytech North Campus next year! Best of luck in the new position. Welding will miss you!
