Armando Dressage

Horse people! We have a really nice 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding who is very cold backed and are trying to find him a new job. We really think he would be a great driving horse and are hoping to find someone who would like to take him on as a project. He’s fantastic at long lining and is quite smart and brave. He’s a really nice mover, but after putting lots of time into making him more confident, under saddle, we’ve determined that he would be happier and better suited in a different discipline. Armando Dressage had a great time at the 2025 Region 8 Regional Championships in Saugerties, NY. Nancy rode her boy “Holden” in the PSG AA Championship! Stephanie rode her boy “Desi” in the 3rd Level FS AA Championship, placing 4th out of a big class of 19! Great job, Steph and Desi! Maggie rode Nancy and Bela’s boy “Brett” in the Open PSG and I1 Championship classes, finishing as reserve champions in both classes! Way to go, Maggie and Brett! Finally, Maggie also rode Stacy’s boy “Gaio” in the Open Intermediate 2 and Grand Prix Championships. They cleaned up, finishing both big classes as champions! It was both Maggie’s and Gaio’s 3rd ever GP. Congratulations to the whole team!! What a great way to end the summer season! Onto Florida!

Another great result from yesterday, Nancy and Bela’s boy, Brett, and Maggie got reserve champion in the Open Intermediate I Regional Championship in a big class of 21 professional rides! 🎉

"Holden" is a lovely 13 year old gelding by Blue Hors Hotline x Rotspon. He is an "in your pocket" type of guy who loves attention and wants to please you. Holden has a great temperament and would be a super horse for a junior or young rider who wants to do the FEI Jrs/Yrs and be really competitive. He is also suitable for an AA looking for a simple & impressive schoolmaster or a professional looking for a competitive FEI mount.

Holden has been showing with his AA owner competitively in the PSG and is schooling everything in the I1 as well as some half steps, one tempi’s, etc. He also has lots of show experience! He is good for loading, clipping, bathing, shoeing, etc.

Hotstreak CF

Another fun Saugerties weekend for team Armando Dressage! Nancy and her boy “Holden” knocked out two solid PSG rides, finishing 3rd and 5th in two big classes! Stephanie and her boy “Desi” knocked it out of the park, winning the 3rd level FS with a 71.300%! Congrats, Steph and Desi! Congrats to Bobby Murray and “Jorrit” for winning the Inter II with a 69% and to Simone Hennessey and “Genevieve” for their win in 1LT3 with a 71%! Stacy’s wonderful little man, “Gaio” did his first Grand Prix tests with Maggie aboard. They scored a respectable 64.565% right off the bat, and then won the Open GP the second day with a 65.272%! To top it off, Maggie earned her USDF Gold Medal this weekend and Gaio officially became a Grand Prix horse! 🎉

Busy couple of days for Armando Dressage! HITS Saugerties was a success with Nancy/Holden and Maggie/Brett (Nancy and Bela’s boy) each bringing home blue ribbons in the AA and open PSG divisions. Then, Brett made his new I1 FS debut scoring 73.375% right off the bat, winning that class too! Sammy made his show debut and in spite of a rather hectic warm up, he got it together and got in the ring! Go Sammy!

Then on to Red Tail with Stephanie on her Desi, bringing home a blue for the 4.3! Stacy’s wonder horse, Gaio, was consistent in the Intermediate II with a 70.7 yesterday and 71% today, bringing home another blue ribbon!
