Every year, our class prioritizes covering CPR fundamentals. It is an essential skill to possess, regardless of age. This year, several students expressed interest in obtaining certification, and I accommodated their request. A few more students will complete the certification process tomorrow. These students never cease to amaze me!

Mrs. Gardner's 1st period class had the privilege of touring the Toyota Manufacturing Plant in Georgetown, gaining valuable insights into the automotive industry. If you haven't toured TMMK, it's definitely worth adding to your list. The staff were extremely welcoming and shared a wealth of information. Toyota is a HUGE supporter of Jag. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will return in February with my 7th period. 💙 The picture below was the 1st Toyota produced. Special THANK YOU to my chaperones, Selina and Mendy.

Mrs. Gardner's class has been studying the importance of healthy heart maintenance and proper CPR techniques. Did you know that less than half (46%) of the US population is knowledgeable about CPR administration? Being able to perform CPR on someone who has ceased breathing is crucial and can be lifesaving. Did you know that every second without breathing results in a 10% decrease in life expectancy? The absence of essential oxygen to organs and the brain is life-threatening. Ask your child to show you the proper technique of CPR and the Heimlich.

Mrs. Gardner's class gained valuable sewing experience today. We encourage you to ask your child to share their handmade projects. Interestingly, every student, including the initially reluctant ones, found the activity enjoyable. Soon, guardians, you will receive a thoughtful, homemade gift.💜
