The first week of summer tutoring is in the books!! And it went great- I have 7 chatty little boys and 3 sassy girls that are keeping me from falling out when I get tired. 🤣🙌🏼📗
As always, the CAT THERAPY is FREE here at the Streets Home for Foster Cats 🤪🐾

This was EVERYTHING…I love all the kids I work with…but our relationship is special. I’ve known his momma since she was a teenager and I began tutoring him two years ago and quickly began advocating for him as well. He is dyslexic, he knows it, and he is the HARDEST WORKER! He has never once come in with a bad attitude (I’m sure I’ve had plenty, but not him)…he makes me happy and proud and I cannot wait to see what he does when he grows up. I hope he always loves me, cuz I will for sure always love him❤️

🙌🏼The school year is officially over- it’s been a really tough, crazy, but rewarding year for the kids I advocate for and the kids I tutor.
Here are some of the AMAZING THINGS THAT happened this year-
📍Approx 35 IEP and 504 Meetings attended
📍One state complaint filed (40 hours of compensatory services received)
📍10 kids tutored per day M/W
📍Advocated for FOUR FOSTER kids through the Clay County Court System
📍Four kids “graduated” from tutoring
📍One kid I advocate for GRADUATED
📍Several kids I advocate for got awards for READING!
📍I helped a high schooler complete three classes he needed for grade recovery and got two “B’s” and one “A”
📍And we read to the shelter kittens 🐾
