7th grade math spent the week exploring real world probability scenarios and finished off with a better late than never pi day activity.

We are officially in Round 4 of March Madness: Full Court Attendance! 🏀
This week will determine our East and West Champions, and each winning homeroom will earn a pizza party! 🍕
After Spring Break, those two champions will go head-to-head to crown our Ultimate Attendance Winner!

Mrs. Behm's algebra class played Jeopardy as a review for their Systems of Equations test. The game was created by high school intern Lane Geiger. Students were highly engaged and very competitive.

On Thursday, our jazz band students had a chance to learn from New York City jazz saxophonist Albert Rivera! Albert was traveling to our area to play at Berks JazzFest and always enjoys working with our middle school students. They had a great time soaking up his wisdom and also enjoyed getting tips on how to sound better individually and as an ensemble. Check out the video of Albert jamming with our students in the rhythm section!

Congratulations to our middle school jazz band! Last weekend at the Kutztown Jazz Festival they earned the Best Trumpet Section award, and Miles Esterly and Max Peters won Outstanding Soloist Awards as well! Congratulations to all of our jazz band students!!

This week was the end of STEAM club. We wrapped up this session by having fun with our robots. A special thank you goes out to Paige Herman for volunteering her time to help our budding scientists throughout the season.
