7th and 8th grade Digital Photographers and Creative Journaling classes at Fleetwood Area Middle School collaborated to write original stories that were illustrated with photographs. Stories were presented this week by select middle school authors and photographers to Kindergarteners and 1st graders at Andrew Maier Elementary School! Such a cool, creative experience to bring the bigs and littles together and to promote storytelling, reading, and art!

Brakeman's cafe invites you to join us for an afternoon of crafting. Bring your favorite craft. Bring a friend or make some new ones. We will be open for drinks and a limited menu from 1:30-4, rain or shine. This even is geared towards teens and adults.

5th graders in Elements of Art explored different animals and their kingdoms, then got to mix them up with a creative description that was put into an Ai image generator. Artists are now using those generated images to draw from observation their mixed up creature! Soon we will add detail and visual texture and collage a mixed up or realistic habitat.

This week 6th graders in 3D Art were challenged to make the tallest tower with limited supplies AND were given tools that they most likely haven’t ever seen. They were given time to explore and figure out the tools by testing and experimenting! Lots of learning through students asking questions and using their curiosity to uncover new skills!!
