🩺🎉 The results are official… 6th Place in the world in Health Education! 🎉🎉
Congratulations to Alexander (Xander) Dennison and Joslynn Napier for earning 6th Place at the HOSA International Leadership Conference with their Health Education project, “Immune System Heroes: How Our Bodies Fight Germs and Keep Them from Spreading.”
Through this project, Xander and Joslynn developed and presented an engaging educational program for 2nd grade students that taught how the immune system protects the body from harmful germs. Using age-appropriate lessons and interactive activities, they explained how germs spread, how blood cells help fight infections, and why healthy habits are important for staying well.
Students learned practical ways to protect themselves and others, including proper handwashing, covering coughs and sneezes, staying home when sick, getting enough sleep, and eating healthy foods. Students earned Immune System Hero certificates upon completing their post test and showing growth from their pretest. Xander and Joslynn’s goal was to help young learners understand that everyone can play a role in preventing the spread of illness and maintaining a healthy community.
To be recognized as the 6th best Health Education project in the world is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to the countless hours of research, preparation, revisions, and dedication these students invested throughout the year.
We are incredibly proud of Xander and Joslynn for representing Braxton County, West Virginia, and our HOSA chapter with excellence on the international stage! 💙💛
