🍦Summer learning proved to be a lot of fun with tidying shirts, eating popsicles, and ice cream, making solar ovens and s’mores and ending with a water day celebration! 🍉

And of course, here was also lots of reading and writing and academic work in there too! ☀️

Getting down to the wire and next up we have Girls on the Run!

Girls on the Run is a club for 3rd through 5th grade girls in the fall. Through every practice, conversation, and finish line crossed, these girls are learning the power of resilience, teamwork, self-belief, and healthy habits that extend far beyond the track. We are so proud to see them grow stronger in both mind and body while building friendships and confidence along the way!

Next up is Garden Club!

The Garden Club is in its 2nd growing season. In the many areas on campus that they maintain, they grow a variety of plants such as annuals, perennials, natives and traditional southern crops like sweet potatoes and peanuts. We enjoy seeing the splashes of color as their hard work blooms around Upward!

Next highlight is Girl Scout Brownies!

What an incredible first year with our school’s community Girl Scout Brownie troop 💚✨

This year was all about learning, growing, and making memories together. We earned three badges, celebrated our first-ever cookie badge, and even held our very first cookie booth. Most importantly, these girls built friendships, gained confidence, and created mini moments that turned into big memories. From badge work to cookie smiles, every step was something special. 🍪💪

Student Lighthouse Members gave tours when Upward was a showcase school in the winter. Our fledgling group wants to spread kindness and joy to all Upward Eagles! We are so proud of these student leaders! 💚🦅
