And just like that… our final Playhouse Jr. Summer Camp has taken its final bow. 🎭🎶

Our Conservatory Musical Theatre Camp was the perfect way to close out an incredible summer. Over the past week, we watched these talented high school performers grow, not just as singers, actors, and dancers, but as an ensemble, leaders, and friends. The bonds they built and the confidence they found are what theatre is all about.

While we’re sad to see summer come to an end, we can’t wait to keep the magic going. Fall classes are just around the corner, and we can’t wait to welcome both familiar and new faces back to Playhouse Jr.!

Here’s to standing ovations, lifelong friendships, and the next chapter. ❤️

What an unforgettable week at our Footloose: An Immersive Experience Camp! From backstage tours and mock auditions to designing prom costumes, our campers truly lived the Footloose dream. They learned show-stopping choreography, sang their hearts out and got to chat with the cast during a special talkback. They even crafted props from the show and explored scenic painting! The grand finale? Watching the incredible Footloose production live, followed by autographs from the cast. Only at Flat Rock Playhouse, The State Theatre of North Carolina, do young performers get these once-in-a-lifetime moments. We’re so grateful for our amazing Playhouse Jr. students and the special magic that comes from having a youth program at such a legendary professional theatre!
