The final day of Kinder Camp provided FLES students with meaningful, hands-on learning experiences using TCM materials focused on math and reading skills. Students also enjoyed an educational visit from Renada Farmer with Knox County 4-H, who taught them about the importance of proper hand hygiene and making healthy food choices, followed by a fun craft activity. Thank you to Ricky Lunsford with the East Knox Fire Department for providing students with an engaging, hands-on fire safety experience. Students explored the fire truck, learned about firefighter equipment and fire suits, and discussed important fire safety practices. This experience helped students better understand the role of firefighters and the importance of staying safe in an emergency.
A special thank-you goes to PRI Coordinator Paula Miracle, FLES staff Mrs. Hollingsworth, Mrs. Stacy, Mrs. Carnes, and Mrs. Brown, along with FRYSC Coordinator Derrick Mills, for their dedication and teamwork in making this wonderful week of Kinder Camp possible. The week provided students with engaging opportunities to learn, explore, and build foundational skills in a fun and supportive environment.
