When Actions Speak Louder Than Words!

Mrs. Amber Hoffman had a fun activity for our 7th-grade students! The class had to choose one student to complete an “act” (lying on the couch with their feet up on the wall) without giving them any verbal instructions. Instead, classmates used their vocal cues—humming louder or softer—to guide the student toward what they were supposed to do.

It was a fun way to practice communication, teamwork, listening, and paying attention to nonverbal cues!

Clouds and crowds!

The Fliers opened their season at home with a great crowd at McGlone Field! A rain and lightning delay didn’t deter the crowd, as many fans returned to the stands to watch the game following the delay.

A Little Magic in Junior Kindergarten!

Ms. du Randt’s Junior Kindergarten class kicked off the school year with a little magic playdough!

The students started with white playdough and recited their special poem:

“Magic playdough oh so white,
I make this wish with all my might.
If a color should appear,
I’m sure to have a great school year.
Abracadabra-kindergarten!”

Then came the magic! After a little squishing, their white playdough magically changed colors!

What a fun way to make a wish for a magical, colorful, and GREAT school year!
