Hello NAU Lumberjacks and KSoM students! As we get closer to the start of the Fall 2026 semester, we would like to provide some information on how to audition for the NAU Orchestras! To access the audition materials for this upcoming semester, please complete the following steps:
- Self-enroll in the Canvas course “Ensemble Placement Reference”.
- Log into Canvas by using your NAU ID.
- On the Ensemble Placement Reference home page, you can now view and download your instrument’s audition excerpt as a PDF. - Located in the posted syllabus, you will find a link for audition sign-ups!
Membership in the NAU Symphony and/or NAU Chamber Orchestra requires an audition, EACH SEMESTER.
Symphony Orchestra, including strings/winds/brass/percussion, rehearses Mon/Wed from 3:30-6:00pm in the Performing Arts Center.
Chamber Orchestra, strings only, rehearses Fridays from 3:30-6:00pm in the Performing Arts Center
Both ensembles are open to music majors, minors, and non-majors.
There is only one audition for admittance into both ensembles.
