🌟 Summer Sensory Celebration: Over, Under, All Around! 🌟

Last week, our explorers uncovered two of our hidden senses: **proprioceptive** and **vestibular**! Through movement, teamwork, and plenty of creativity, they discovered how these important senses help us understand where our bodies are in space and how we move through the world.

Together, our joyful explorers collaborated to build a “Piggy Play Park” - climbing, balancing, lifting, arranging, and problem-solving along the way. Every twist, turn, and construction challenge became an opportunity to strengthen body awareness, coordination, and confidence.

🌿✨ Sensory Celebration Series: Week 1 – Mud Sensations! ✨🌿

What a wonderful start to our Sensory Celebration Series! Last week, our explorers experienced the sights, textures, and endless possibilities of Mud Sensations.

From squishing and scooping to mixing and creating, little hands were busy discovering the sensory joys of mud play. Activities like these encourage curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor development while providing plenty of opportunities for imaginative exploration.

There were smiles, laughter, messy hands (and feet), and lots of learning as our explorers connected with nature through this hands-on sensory experience with a little help from our piggy pals. iWonder Flagstaff Tinkergarten

Our final class of the Spring Creativity Season was one for the books 🐻🌿

Our explorers climbed over, crawled under, and journeyed through all kinds of challenges in search of our friend Bear — discovering courage, creativity, teamwork, and joyful learning along the way. We ended our season with a celebration of all the wonder, growth, and memories we’ve shared together this spring. ✨

But the fun isn’t over yet… ☀️

Summer is almost here, and so is our *Sensory Celebration Mini-Series!* Together we’ll activate all our senses — including some of our “hidden senses” — through playful, hands-on exploration designed to spark curiosity and connection.

✨ Wednesdays are FULL, but we’ve opened a Thursday class and there are still a few spots left!

For our Water Works 💧 lesson, our explorers became engineers, problem-solvers, and a little bit wet. 😄
Using all kinds of tools, methods, and teamwork, they discovered creative ways to move water from one place to another without spilling a drop… or at least not too many anyway 😉
There was experimenting, adjusting, cheering each other on, and lots of hands-on learning as they explored concepts like balance, coordination, focus, and cause & effect through play.
The best part? Watching their creativity grow with every splash-filled success. 🌊✨

This special bonus series was created to help teachers and families cultivate JOY, deepen our connection to nature, and stay engaged in meaningful Tinkergarten learning.

Together we discovered the joy in all things round, crafted beeswax candles to light up the night, and created gifts from nature to share with those we love. 🌕🕯️🍃

This series truly felt like a gift—one filled with wonder, creativity, and community. I am beyond grateful to have shared it with my sweet Tinkergarten families and fellow educators. 💛
