On June 3, 2026, Dawson Hale, 41, was sentenced to 7 years day-for-day in the Department of Corrections and ordered to register as a s*x offender for life following his conviction for s*xual assault.
At trial, the State proved that the 21-year-old victim was unable to consent due to extreme intoxication when Hale carried her from a downtown bar and s*xually assaulted her.
