Hello Everyone,

Peer Jack offers 1on1 mentoring to first-year students & exposure to NAU resources.

We also host educational & social events that support student success. Participants develop the following benefits of mentoring:
-A sense of belonging at Northern Arizona University
-Knowledge & awareness of campus resources & processes
-An ability to identify and align values and goals for their first year
-Purposeful academic habits by participating in educational activities

Next in our “More about Mentors” series is Bella. Bella’s majors are Anthropology and Photography. Bella wanted to be a Peer Jacks Mentor because, “I wanted to get the opportunity to help freshmen adjust to college, and to help them have a successful college career. I love to see people succeed, so that is definitely my favorite part of being a mentor.”�Some fun facts: �1. I’m from Texas (outside of Houston).�2. I am 1 of 7 kids and have a twin brother.�3. I love photography, especially outdoors photography. ���•��•��•���

Hello and welcome back to another Feature Friday! This week we wanted to feature an amazing organization on campus we call Louie’s Cupboard🥪🍎! College can be expensive so Louie’s Cupboard takes part in helping those who need extra help in obtaining food. America wanted to be a Peer Jacks Mentor because, “I enjoyed the support I got from the Peer Jacks community during my first year of college, making me want to give back to the NAU community what I had gotten from it.”

2. I enjoy crocheting and spending time outside
3. My favorite thing to do in Flagstaff is star gazing
