Former Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez and First Lady Phefelia Nez visited CCC’s Summer Bridge program to speak with students about education, future goals, and opportunities.

They shared a powerful reminder that each of us has a story and a responsibility to know who we are. Students were reminded to know who they are, keep moving forward, and recognize the impact they can have as role models in their communities.

CCC faculty, staff, and students are invited to an Aloha Summer Cookout hosted by the CCC Native American Success Center and Student Life on June 30 in the Commons from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Enjoy BBQ, connect with others, and take part in games and prizes. Hawaiian themed shirts are encouraged.

Coco the Comet visited four KinderCamp classrooms in Flagstaff this week for storytime and a dance party.

Students heard Coco’s story and were introduced to the Teal Ticket, a promise that connects their earliest school experiences to future opportunities at CCC. Moments like these help build confidence, excitement, and a sense of what is possible.

Summer Bridge is in full swing at Coconino Community College, with students at both the Flagstaff Lone Tree Campus and Page Campus getting a strong start on their college journey. ☀️

This 8-week program supports students as they build confidence, earn college credits, and connect with resources that carry into the fall semester.

Participants are earning up to 6 college credits while working alongside peer mentors, tutors, and advisors, and engaging in both academic and cultural learning experiences. With tuition and books covered, the program is designed to remove barriers and create a clear path forward.

Coconino Community College adds men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field The Comets will add a track and field team starting in the 2026-27 year.

A milestone for workforce training at CCC! Today we celebrated the first class of RV Maintenance Technician students who officially completed their training, marking an important step in expanding workforce opportunities in Northern Arizona.

Through hands-on instruction and industry-aligned curriculum, students built real-world skills across essential RV systems, preparing for the next step in a growing, high-demand field.
