Jim Thomson's United States School of Piping and Drumming Come to the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the world and study under these trees with some of the world’s foremost piping and drumming teachers.

Jim Thomson's United States School of Piping is dedicated to the memory of the school's founder, Jim "Seamus" Thomson. Jim organized, managed, hired teachers and steered the school from its inception until his untimely death in November of 2009. Without question, there would be no school without Jim's hard work and his love of the Great Highland Bagpipe, its music, and traditions. While Jim is gone, his memory will always be with this school and its students. Jim Thomson is greatly missed.

The Hugh O'Conor Memorial Pipe Band, along with our Trad Group Dancers, is heading to the beautiful Riordan Mansion State Historical Park for "A Taste of Ireland" — an afternoon celebrating Irish and Celtic music, dance, and culture, presented by the Northern Arizona Celtic Society.

Here's the lineup for Saturday, September 19th:
🏛️ 4:00 PM — Tours of Riordan Mansion
🚪 4:30 PM — Doors open
🎶 5:15 PM — Concert begins

Tickets are $50, which includes your seat at the concert plus a picnic-style lunch and a drink. If you'd just like to tour the mansion, that's $20.
