December 2023- week 2
3 year old class

CHRISTMAS

This is such a fun time of year, we had the week crammed with so many fun activities.
We painted star ornaments for our parents, Christmas playdoh mats, coloring pages, books and more books, Christmas tangrams, candy cane pictures, and scrap wreaths.
Our party was filled with games and fun. We played pin the bow in the present, but stars on a tree, book exchange, and yummy Christmas treats!

December 2023- week 2
4 year old class

CHRISTMAS

We had a blast with all the fun Christmas activities! We did Christmas dot pages, tree sort, playdoh mats, Christmas color by number page, lots and lots of books, que-tip Christmas trees, decorated gingerbread men with fun Christmas snacks like hot chocolate.
We also enjoyed a party in our pjs! We did a book exchange, played pin the bow on the present, cup toss, coloring page, watched dr. Seuss grinch, and picture props.

December 2023- Week 1
3 year old class

L is for LETTERS

We love letters in preschool! We use them all the time, practice, and play with them. This week we enjoyed more fun with letters.
We did magnetic letter tracing, L dot page, letter find in rice sensory table, read chicka chicka boom boom and made a tree with ABC stickers on it, letter stamps and ate letter crackers.

4 year old class

WINTER

The kids were so excited that we got snow just before our week learning about winter. We made name snowmen, played in the snow, snowman shape match, winter clip cards, snowflake watercolor picture, winter sensory bin, mitten book with page about what we'd fit in a mitten, snowflake beads, and snowman felt game.

November 2023- week 4
3 year old class

K is for KINDNESS

This is a great week, helping the kids learn more about kindness and what it looks like. I love reading the book "Have you filled a bucket today," and practicing filling each other's buckets.
We make a heart picture worth ripped paper, and talk about how our words can rip peopled hearts, but we can fix it with kindness.
We also did geo boards, tow truck puzzle, shape bus, k dot paper and more.

November 2023- week 4
4 year old class

WEATHER

We talk about weather every day during circle time, but this week, we focused more on how different weather can be.
We did a weather clothes sort, weather playdoh mats, matching game, geo boards, cloud pictures with cotton balls, color match, and tornado in a bottle.

3 year old class

THANKSGIVING

We were so busy having fun I didn't capture as many pictures as would have liked.
We did enjoy a yummy feast of everyone's favorite foods including: chocolate brownie cookies, rolls, German pancakes, stringe cheese, grapes and Nutella cookies. The kids loved it!
We also read books, made handprint turkeys, colored placemats, and played a few games.

THANKSGIVING

Our Thanksgiving week was filled with food and fun. We had our own Thanksgiving feast, where each kid brought one of their favorite foods to share. We ate cornucopia filled with fruit, mac n cheese, cookies, pomegranates, fruit snacks, pirate b***y, granola bars and grapes.
We also enjoyed some activities life coloring a placemat, doing a turkey handprint page, played feed the turkey, and made a leaf picture! And of course we read lots of fun books!

3 year old class

J is for JAPAN

I lived in Japan for a little while, and it's a special place for my family, so I love the week of J, teaching the kids about my favorite things about Japan.

They tried on kimonos, made origami fish, saw real Japanese money, played with Japanese play food, learned some of the language, made a carp flag, tried Japanese snacks, and saw pictures from our time in Japan.

ROCKS

Rocks are so amazing and these cute kids loved exploring and playing with rocks. We looked at rock collections, colored a rock picture, trangrams, rock sorts, magnets, rock sifting sensory table, rock weighing and rock painting.

I is for INSECTS

Kids love bugs and insects, so they naturally had fun this week. They looked at bug xrays, played in the bug sensory table, ate worms in dirt, played with bug catchers, bug tangrams, bug jar counting, and bug dot pictures.

SPACE

Such a fun week learning about space. We could spend all month on this fun theme. The kids loved the space mat, space sensory table, moon painting, dressing up in the astronaut costume and playing in the rocket tent, constellation picture and letter tracing in black sand.
