Flagstaff Junior Academy Montessori, Experiential learning, Preschool through 8th grade, Public charter Kindergarten through 8th grade. Elementary campus: 306 W.

At the Elementary campus we have the Children's House which is preschool and kindergarten, and the 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th grade classes. Feeling incredibly grateful for the supportive families, staff members, and friends of FJA who came together to make something pretty special happen. ❤️

In just 20 short hours, we raised more than $7,000 through donations and matches to support projects across our school's two campuses! Every single project was fully matched—even the pricey Gaga Ball kit for Gemini! (I’m still not sure how that happened!)

There was still $700 left to raise for the gaga ball kit when many of us went to bed Wednesday night, but Thursday morning, we woke up to find that some generous soul had quietly completed the project. What an amazing surprise to wake up to!

Thank you to our entire FJA community for coming together to make good things happen for kids.

From 4:00 a.m. through midnight Arizona time on Wednesday, August 19, every donation to an FJA project will be matched.

With the match, we need to raise about $4,000 to fully fund all FJA projects—just $10 per FJA family if everyone participates! We know not everyone can give, so give what you can, and more if you’re able.

Today we're introducing Elna Perkins, who will be teaching middle school social studies.

With well over a decade of experience working with middle and high school students, Ms. Perkins brings a wealth of knowledge, a love of history, and a deep commitment to helping students understand their role in the world around them. Her classroom is one where critical thinking, empathy, and inquiry thrive.

Today we're introducing Ms. Lauren, who will be leading our Children's House classroom.

Since joining the FJA team, Ms. Lauren has consistently demonstrated remarkable kindness, patience, and a natural ability to connect with students. Whether she's planning engaging summer camp curriculum, supporting students in classrooms, or helping our English Learners achieve success on their state assessments, she leads with compassion and a genuine commitment to helping every child grow.

Today we're introducing Eric Jordan, who will be teaching middle school math.

Today we're introducing Linda Ochi, who will be teaching middle school science this year.

Many of you already know Ms. Ochi. With two children who attended FJA Middle School over the years, she has been a dedicated part of our community as a parent volunteer, coach, and substitute teacher. Now, we are fortunate to have her in the classroom every day--sharing her kindness, knowledge, and experience with our students.
