Within the shock and dismay and confusion and disappointment and embarrassment of the early results of this election there is also within me a fire. This fire is showing me my own determination and resilience. I don’t want to stay quiet about things that are important to me. I want to stand up with more fierce compassion. Especially for those whose identities are being reviled and attacked. Those who do not experience basic love and acceptance, even in their own families. So let me start by sharing some things I’ve learned about gender identity from some of my teachers

Come join us for a session that can stand alone as a chance for you to meet other guys or as a 'taste' of what a men's group feels like. Not quite a men’s group, and not quite a mixer, this will be fun and powerful event where men will have a chance to drop in and connect with other men about stuff that really matters. You’ll be able to practice vulnerability, build connections, and have some fun. Connection nights will be bigger virtual events, but we’ll do some stuff as a big group, in small groups, and in dyads.

Reason #2 - Cohesion = That sense of belonging to the group and being understood and accepted

IRL - This is a good hang! Ideally the sense that guys wanna be in a group, enjoy each other and the process and see it as a helpful, insightful place, even if challenging at times.

Reason #1 - Universality
That sense of not being the only one to feel this way. Even though I may be quirky, have some hangups, etc. some of us, if not many, have quite a lot in common. And that's a relief to know.

Time to take this show on the road. Excited to begin offering this group to the broader community after a 3 years of success at NAU. Men's groups have been hugely important in my life in the past several years.
