NAU Ethnic Studies Program

The Ethnic Studies Program at NAU was established in 2000 through the efforts of five faculty members from the Commission on Ethnic Diversity. The Program is governed by a steering committee consisting of the Director, full-time and affiliated faculty, and an administrative representative.

We are one week away from opening of the Theodore A. Harris Art Show at the Office of Inclusion (IMQ Center) from Oct. 1, 2023 to Oct 31, 2023.
We are also hosting artist Theodore A. Harris on campus from Oct. 8-14 2023.
Harris will be giving the 2023 Ted Johnson Lecture on Tuesday Oct. 10, 2023 in SBS West Room 200, which will start at 5:30 p.m. Prior to his lecture we will host a pre-lecture reception from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. in Suite 100 of SBS-West.
The following day on Wed. Oct. 11, 2023, we will have an opening reception for the art show in the IMQ Center from Noon to 3:00 p.m.
