We still need a few more baked-good volunteers for Coffee & Crumbs this Friday!

We’re looking for families who can bring a batch of cookies, muffins, pastries, bars, bread, or any other baked treat to share at our first Coffee & Crumbs meetup after drop-off on Friday, September 4.

Homemade or store-bought is totally fine — we just need a little something sweet (or savory!) to fill the table.

PTG is back!!

Our first Parent Teacher Group meeting of the year is coming up, and we’d love to have you there!

The PTG is about so much more than meetings and fundraisers. We’re here to build community, support our teachers, celebrate our students, and help make Pine Forest School feel like a place where everyone belongs.

From school events and teacher appreciation to family gatherings, volunteer opportunities, and dreaming up ways to make our school even stronger -> we do it together.

You don’t need to have tons of time or experience. If you care about Pine Forest, you’re part of this community. Come see what we’re all about, share your ideas, and help us make this a great year!

Parent Teacher Evening: Wednesday, August 26 at 6:00 PM & 6:30PM

Join us this Wednesday for Parent Teacher Evening! We encourage families to attend in person when possible, as you’ll have the chance to experience a small piece of the pedagogy your children engage with throughout their school day.

Evening Schedule:
• 6:30-7:00PM: Upper Grades (5–8) pedagogical experience & Lower Grades information
• 6:00-6:30PM: Lower Grades (K–4) pedagogical experience & Upper Grades information

The informational portion will also be available via Zoom for families who cannot attend in person. Your child’s teacher will send the Zoom link directly.

This Friday, our 8th graders will welcome our 1st graders into a new chapter of their Pine Forest journey.

Throughout the year, 8th graders and 1st graders will be paired as buddies, sharing activities, school experiences, and time together. The Rose Ceremony marks the beginning of that relationship, as each 8th grader presents a rose to their 1st grade buddy.

For our 1st graders, this year also marks an exciting transition: they are beginning to take a more active role in the life of the elementary school and in Pine Forest community traditions.

For our 8th graders, it's a chance to step into a new role as leaders, mentors, and friends. This ceremony is a beautiful reminder that our oldest students help welcome our youngest into what's ahead.

We need a few more Room Parents!

We’d love to have **2 Room Parents per class**, but at minimum, we need **1 parent for each class** to help keep our classrooms connected and supported.

We especially need Room Parents for **3rd & 5th grade**, but there is currently one opening in every other grade level as well. (And 8th grade is fully covered - huzzah!)
