Congratulations Lyndi! Thank you for making Flagler FBLA a part of your journey!

Flagler High School is proud to congratulate Lyndi Huelskamp on being named a recipient of the prestigious Boettcher Foundation Scholarship!

Lyndi is a true servant leader who has spent time guiding FBLA members at the local, district, and state level; supporting her teammates on the volleyball court and links; escorting her favorite Kindergarteners through the hall; serving as the only student on the District Accountability Committee; and spearheading the launch of the student-run community focused Flagler Forward newspaper.

This honor is a reflection of her academic achievements, outstanding character and service and leadership to both her school and community.

We wish Lyndi continued success as she heads off to the University of Northern Colorado next fall to major in Elementary Education. She is the fourth Boettcher recipient at Flagler High School, and the first since 2009.

Thank you Flagler Cooperative Association for always being so support of us, our members and our community. We share in your passion for giving back to our communities and use this grant to help support our Community Eastern Dinner.

Flagler Cooperative Association prides itself on giving back to our local communities & Programs. Recently the Flagler Coop presented $1,000 from the cooperative along with matching funds from Land O Lakes to both the Flagler FBLA & Flagler FFA Programs.

Another successful Middle School State Leadership Conference! Knox placed 3rd in Exploring Digital Animation. Lyle and Reese are State Champions in Exploring Marketing Strategies. Lyle also placed 4th in Exploring Computer Science. Kinsey and Laynie placed 3rd in Community Service. Kinsey also placed 4th in Exploring FBLA. Michayla is State Champion in Exploring Digital Video Production. Elijah placed 3rd in Exploring Website Design.

Service is at the heart of everything we do in Flagler Middle School FBLA.

Rural firefighters are especially deserving of our gratitude. In small communities like ours, they are volunteers who balance full-time jobs and family responsibilities while still answering emergency calls at all hours. They travel long distances, respond to grass and brush fires, highway accidents, medical emergencies, and severe weather situations. They are our first line of defense and they don’t just protect property; they protect neighbors, friends, and family. Their commitment keeps our rural communities safe and strong.

On February 21st, our members had the honor of serving a pizza meal to the dedicated firefighters from the Arriba Fire Department and the Flagler Fire Department as a small token of our appreciation for their selfless service. They also received Thank You cards that the members helped the Kindergarten class at Flagler Elementary School make.

On Saturday, February 28th, with the sun shining down on them, our members rolled up their sleeves and got to work washing the Flagler Fire Department’s fleet — including 2 engines, the rescue truck, brush truck, and two fast attack vehicles. It was a hands-on way to say THANK YOU and support those who serve us year-round.

We are so proud of our students for living out the FBLA's goals leadership, service, and community impact. When we serve, we lead and this was a student-led project from start to finish.

International Angelman Day is February 15th, and this is one of our favorite service projects each year. Stop by our FBLA table to buy a ticket tonight at the Flagler vs. Bethune Basketball Games to support Angelmans Awareness.

Flagler FBLA is proud to support not only our members at conferences and events, and we do this through a variety of fundraisers throughout the year. We design and fufil custom t-shirt orders throughout the year (if you want to see one of our latest, make sure the stop by the school and enjoy the PeeWee Basketball Tournament this weekend) and will begin taking pre-orders for Palisade Peaches in May this year.
