Monadnock Fire Conference

The Monadnock Fire Conference is in the books, and it is hard not to leave this weekend feeling grateful. Grateful for the attendees who gave up their time to train, learn, sweat, ask questions, and invest in the craft.

We are equally thankful for the instructors who showed up with humility, passion, and a willingness to share their knowledge without an ego. The willingness to teach, mentor, and invest into others is what keeps the job moving forward.

This weekend would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, the support of our local community, and the patience of our neighbors who graciously tolerate the noise, smoke, traffic, and activity that comes with meaningful hands-on training.

More than anything, this weekend was about fellowship. Firefighters from different places coming together on ground seeped in training tradition to learn from one another, build skills, foster relationships, and remember that the best training environments are the ones free arrogance and full of purpose.

We end tired, grateful, and already looking forward to next year

MFC II begins tonight. With Capt. Dave Quick of the Manchester NH Fire Department. Speaking on being an engine boss; and his 5 years of F*ck ups and the values learned starting at 18:00. A tremendously valuble class regardless of department size or type. Last minute registration is available, and venmo will be available at the door. A chicken dinner ($15.00), and cold beverages will be available.

Here is the instructor line up for this year. We have a a great group of returning instructors and new who are generous enough to dispense their knowledge and experiences to the attendees. There may be additonal instructors as schedules align. This is going to be a great year for fellowship and learning.
