Our FHSCCA Lady Canes traveled to Brooks County yesterday, but the game was postponed due to lightning. The game has been RESCHEDULED FOR TODAY at home! Come out this afternoon and cheer on our Lady Canes!

Science in Action at FHSCCA!

Check out these hands-on science labs happening in Dr. G’s Honors Chemistry and Honors Biology classes!

Honors Chemistry: Students explored the properties of low-pressure plasma and completed a Bunsen Burner Safety Lab. By changing different parameters, they investigated flame height and air intake to better understand the properties of the flame—all while building skills that will increase the efficiency and safety of future labs.

Honors Biology: After learning about basic cell structures and the genetic material inside plant cells, students discovered just how easy it can be to isolate DNA from a banana! Students finished by examining the remaining banana samples under the microscope.

This is what hands-on learning looks like! Our students aren't just learning science they're doing science!
