Due to the extreme heat and high temperatures expected today, all outdoor recess activities for all grade levels will be canceled for today.

This week in STEAM class students learned about the engineering design process. Each grade level practiced the steps with a challenge that also worked on working as a team. 3rd grade made their own Magnificent Things (after reading the book, “The Most Magnificent Thing”), 4th grade worked as teams to make the longest paper chain, and 5th grade build towers.

Thank you to Deberry Baptist, Crossview Baptist, Christian Fellowship, and Fitzgerald Church of God for donating swings to Ben Hill Elementary! Our teachers are very appreciative.
We would also like to thank Jeremy Cox and Sabrina for taking the time to put the swings together!
Mr. Caleb Powell took the first turn in the swing.
