Our first few days back! π We shared stories of our summer, celebrated Taytos return, made mini-masterpieces to put up on display & learned to put the wheels back on my art cart. π
ππ₯πΌοΈπ Looking forward to this new school year together. π

This account has been dormant for the past couple of years as I navigated a lot of changes and learned how to adapt to being an art educator without a classroom, and at times, without much supplies. βοΈ
In this time I have moved from an art room to a makeshift space, to a mobile cart and beyond. π
I graduated from my masters program, with a MA in Art Education and conducted a research study on transitioning to teaching art from a cart. π©π»βππ
We put on our first ever Tiny Art Show (which was a huge success and an incredible night). πΌοΈ
I worked with the Fitchburg Art Museum to teach an afterschool program and a Saturday studio project where we got to make a student public art installation downtown. β€οΈ
π₯ We got an art-cart mascot named Tayto, which sparked a school-wide obsession over a squishy potato with an adorable face.
I recently got married, turning me from βMiss Pennyβ to βMrs. McGeeβ. π
And with the start of the 2024-2025 school year fast approaching, I wanted to bring this account back to life in hopes of sharing more of the amazing work our kids create, and to foster a bigger appreciation and celebration for their creative education. ππ¨
Stay tuned for another year of learning how to maneuver the art-cart life & sharing BIG admiration over the incredible things our children make through their imagination and heART. ππ
