Nursing students from the Class of 2026 participated in the Scrubs to Success: Nursing Career Workshop at Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center today. These students had the opportunity to have a review of their resume, participate in mock interviews, learn about career pathways and possibly leave with an offer of employment.

Dear Practical Nursing Program Alumni,

🌟 Career Opportunity for RNs & LPNs Interested in Hospice & Palliative Care 🌟

Care Dimensions, formerly Hospice of the North Shore, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses for a unique residency opportunity focused on caring for individuals living with terminal illness and supporting their families.

This 3-month residency program includes:
🩺 Classroom lectures
🩺 Simulated patient care scenarios
🩺 Field observations with interdisciplinary team members
🩺 Guided mentorship with a dedicated preceptor

Residents will work alongside physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and specialty care providers while gaining valuable experience in hospice and palliative care. Participants who complete the residency and one year of full-time employment will also be eligible to sit for the Hospice and Palliative Certification Exam.

📅 Important Dates:
• Applications accepted through July 24, 2026
• Rolling in-person interviews: July 6, 13, 20, & 27, 2026
• Nurse “ride-along” invitations sent through August 7, 2026
• Offers made by August 14, 2026
• Program start date: August 31, 2026
