Check out this parent support group! Enrollment via referral is open now. π±
Being a parent can be tough. π
And parenting a child with complex needs can make it feel like you're always "on" - between managing appointments, advocating for services, navigating challenges, and carrying the emotional weight that comes with it all.
When you're focused on everyone else's needs, it's easy to forget that your well-being matters too. π
COMING SOON --> Join our Parenting Support Group for caregivers of high-needs children. This group offers a supportive space to slow down, connect with others who truly get it, access resources, and make room for yourself.
Because caring for yourself isn't selfish - it's essential. You don't have to do this alone. π

π§ Making Opportunity Count is working hard to improve access to mental health services across our community!
Recently, our Director of Behavioral Health Services, Amber Haney, LMHC, ATR-P, shared her expertise at the Health Equity Partnership of North Central Mass(CHNA 9) event where she joined community leaders to discuss mental health needs, share resources, and help set priorities for the region.
Additionally, Amber and members of our Residential Housing program - including Bill Pearce and Haylee Morgan (pictured) - participated in Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts' Program Management+ training. Through this initiative, they provided free one-on-one coaching to community members, helping individuals set realistic goals, develop healthy coping skills, manage stress, and build confidence.
This support will help expand access to mental wellness resources for individuals who may otherwise face barriers to receiving this type of support.
Thank you to Amber, Bill, Haylee, and all of the MOC staff and community partners who continue to support our mission of eliminating barriers and creating opportunities for those we serve.

Happy Pride. π This month, we just want to remind you that YOU MATTER.
With LGBTQIA+ individuals facing higher rates of stress, anxiety, and depression from stigma, rejection, and feelings of being unsafe - having just one accepting adult, friend, or safe space can be strongly linked to better emotional well-being and resilience. Never underestimate the power of being an ally. π€
Kindness and acceptance can truly save lives. Making space for others doesnβt take anything away from you - but it can add safety, dignity, and hope for all.
MOC is here to serve EVERYONE in this community so reach out to us any time. You deserve to feel safe, supported, and valued - exactly as you are.
