INCOMING FRESHMAN!!!

We would love to have all of you come to the “Arts at Fitchburg State” Summer Orientation sessions, happening on June 9th, 12th and 16th. We will be joined by Dr. McGlothlin and Dr. Harvey promoting the arts here at Fitchburg State including the 2 newer Creative Arts majors, music minors, and other performing arts clubs!

Also joining us will be Fitchburg State Choirs, Musical Theatre Club, Improv Club, and more! We can’t wait to see you all then!

Everyone in Modern Jazz Band had a fun time on Wednesday for our Jazz Night concert! Thank you to Lunenburg High School and Leominster High School for performing some amazing music, and one massive thank you to Christine Fawson for taking time to teach a masterclass with everyone and performing right alongside!!!

Jazz Band had a great performance at the Undergraduate Research Conference during lunch time with a packed house!

Music Trivia Night!!!

A few students all dressed up as the 4 main music professors on April Fool’s Day! Josh dressed up as Dr. Harvey, Jack as Dr. Casinghino, Lexi as Dr. McGlothlin, and Andreus as Dr. Fiske. It made for great laughs, Happy April Fools!!!

Join us for our Open Marching Drum Clinics on April 6th and April 27th. Open to all! If you wanted to join the Falcon Drumline last fall and didn't pull the trigger, now's your chance to come and play. These workshops are open to anyone wanting to come and experience what it's like to play in the drumline, and also to local high school students who might just be getting some feedback before seeking placement in their high school line. Creative Arts Enterprise (CAE) students Jack, Grace, Andreus, and Lexi joined with Creative Arts Therapies (CAT) Director, Dr. Amy McGlothlin, on Thursday and Friday 3/19-3/20 at the 2026 Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) to represent Fitchburg State and the 2 Creative Arts majors on campus!

Concert Band is working hard (and causing a little chaos) this semester!
