☀️Happy Summer, Leopard-Artist Nation!🐾 The Last Week of the school year started off with the amazing Author/Illustrator/Digital Story-telling duo, Peter Reynolds and his twin, Paul! While our published book will take most of the summer to pull together (full of illustrated versions of our LRES Life Rules and REdefined Life Rules by our students), the audio book is DONE! It’s been a LOOONG TIME COMING…but, it’s FINALLY Reynolds Team Day! Our school year in the smART Room always begins with a reading/re-reading of The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds…in every grade, every year! Peter and his twin (and occasional co-author 😮), Paul, will be at LRES TODAY to help our students complete their book we have been writing and illustrating! Our young authors and illustrators will be published before next school year!

FOURTH GRADE!!! They are pretty awesome! 💙💛As part of our year-long Hoosier artwork study in fourth grade, we investigate the Overbeck sisters and their art. Check out these brooches featuring Indiana’s state bird, state flower, and or state tree leaf. These are first-fire ceramics. They are painted with tempera cakes and sprayed with clear acrylic to create a “false glaze.”💛💙
