If your toddler is snatching everything in sight — from YOU, from other kids, from literally anyone — here’s what’s actually helping 🙌
First, check yourself 👀 Are you grabbing things from your child or are you asking for it and waiting for them to hand it over? They copy everything we do, so we have to model it first.
Second — when you want them to give you something, say “put it in my hand” and hold your hand out. If you just assume they’ll hand it over nicely there’s a good chance it’s coming at your face 😂
And third — practice NOT giving your child everything they ask for, especially during play. If you’re building with blocks together, keep some of yours. “No, I’m using this one. These are mine. You can find another one.” That’s how they learn that not everything is theirs just because they want it.
It takes practice and consistency but it works 💛

Sometimes less really is more 🙌 Rotating toys keeps things fresh and helps kids actually engage with what they have.
A reminder for parents with kids in the early grades 💛 Confidence comes first—then the learning follows. KidsLearning
If you’re raising a picky eater, this is important to remember 👇 Kids often need multiple exposures to a new food before they’re ready to try it. Keep offering and keep it low pressure. calmoverchaos
Most little kids are wired to move, climb, spin, and wiggle all day long. That constant movement isn’t bad behavior—it’s actually how their brains and bodies develop. Understanding this can make parenting feel a lot more calm and a lot less chaotic.
