Don't Waist Your Belt is an organization started by Olivia Keith to collect new and used belts for underprivileged students at Indianapolis Public Schools.

Because a belt is part of the Indianapolis Public School uniform, students will receive a violation of caught not wearing one. Too many violations can cause a suspension. Some students may not be able to afford one, lose theirs, only have one, etc., Olivia Keith is collecting new and used belts to distribute them to Indianapolis Public Schools.

A big thanks to Sylinda Wright Fallis, James Fallis, and the attorneys at Skiles DeTrude in downtown Indianapolis for collecting and donating a bag of old, used belts for Olivia’s Don’t Waist Your Belt organization! These belts will help with the great news that IPS students have in completing their school uniforms. All belts are accepted, as students come in all shapes and sizes. Will you help Olivia’s organization by having a collection, too? We have resources to help. TIA!

Olivia’s Don’t Waist Your Belt organization collected and donated another 39 belts to the Indianapolis Public Schools to give to underprivileged students who need one to complete their school uniform. Parent Involvement Educator at Tech High School Connie Chew gladly accepted the belts and told us that many IPS schools have called this school year, requesting belts, as the need is great. If you or an organization would like to collect belts, we have the resources to help, and Olivia would be glad to come and pick them up.

Before softball practice this morning, my Don’t Waist Your Belt organization donated two bags of old, used belts to Indianapolis Public Schools. IPS then gives the belts to underprivileged students who need them to complete their required school uniform. If you have any old, used belts that you don’t want or if your organization would like to collect, please let me know. I am still collecting these and have donated over 3,700 to date.
