Yesterday brought another round of Spirit Award surprises—and plenty of excited Gator celebrations! 💚🐊 And because it also happened to be Pajama & Stuffy Day, these Spirit Award pictures are officially off-the-charts cute!

Happy Birthday to our Principal, Dr. Therisa Seymour! 🎂🎉

We’re incredibly fortunate to work so closely with Dr. Seymour and are thankful every day for the support, thoughtfulness, and creativity she brings to our PTO partnership. She’s always willing to dream up new ideas with us, cheer us on, and help make special things happen for our entire Gator community — and we truly enjoy working alongside her!

Tomorrow is Pajama + Stuffy Day 🏆

Our Gators officially crossed the $15,000 Gator Gallop milestone earlier this week, and tomorrow we get to celebrate! Students can wear their PJs and bring a favorite stuffy to school—just remember, stuffies need to fit inside backpacks.

One more thing happening tomorrow... Spirit Awards! This week, we’re throwing grade levels out the window. The top 5 fundraising classes as of 8 AM tomorrow morning across all of GES will each snag a Spirit Award to proudly display for the week. Who will it be?!

🏆 Top class overall: 10% of their total class donations back to the classroom + an extra recess!

Our Gators did it! We’ve officially hit our first school-wide Gator Gallop fundraising milestone, which means Pajama + Stuffy Day is ON for this Friday, September 4!

Students are invited to wear their favorite PJs and bring a stuffy to school to celebrate. Just remember: stuffies need to be small enough to fit inside backpacks!

What a start, Gator fam. And we’re not stopping here—$25,000 unlocks popsicles at Gator Gallop!

🚨Last Call for 2026–2027 GES Sponsors!

We’re putting the finishing touches on our 2026–2027 Geist Elementary PTO Sponsorships, and opportunities are still available for businesses that would like to support our Gator community this school year!

Several sponsorship levels remain open, including our Platinum Sponsorship, which offers some of our biggest opportunities to connect with GES families throughout the year:

- A prime spot along Sponsor Row at Fall Festival, plus prominent event recognition
- Premier sponsorship of an additional GES event of your choice—International Fair, Movie Night, Science Night or Field Day*
- Logo features throughout the year in our school newsletter + PTO social media
- A large logo in the school yearbook
- Logo placement on our Grade Level T-shirts, worn by students and staff throughout the year at Gator Gallop, Spirit Days, field trips, Spring Dance, Field Day and more

A little Gator Gallop surprise for EVERY Gator!

Gator Gallop is all about what we can accomplish together—and every single Gator is part of the fun!

In celebration of all that school spirit and teamwork, every GES student will receive a Geist Gators t-shirt + GES sticker to enjoy, whether they personally fundraise or not.

Gator Gallop shirts will be waiting for students when they arrive at school on Friday, October 2, so there’s no need to worry about finding or packing a Gator Gallop shirt that morning. Students will change into them at school before it’s their turn to Gallop!

The one thing to remember on the big Gator Gallop day? Send your student to school in good shoes for running, playing and having fun outside!

And that sticker? It's dishwasher safe, so perfect for water bottles and lunchboxes, folders and anywhere else your Gator wants to show a little GES pride.

Every Gator. Every classroom. One really fun day. 🐊 It really is a tradition unlike any other!

Our Gators are almost to $15,000, which means Pajama + Stuffy Day is within reach! And that’s just the beginning...

$15,000 — Pajama + Stuffy Day
$25,000 — Popsicles at Gator Gallop
$35,000 — Inflatable course added to Gator Gallop
$45,000 — All-school assembly with Indiana Fever mascot Freddy!

And if our Gators really blow us away...

BONUS: Surpass $50,000 and Dr. Seymour + Mrs. Laffey will CAMP OUT ON THE SCHOOL ROOF!
