What an incredible way to finish out the school year! On Monday, Lantern Road Elementary School and Lantern Road Elementary PTO had the honor of hosting internationally acclaimed authors Peter Reynolds and Paul Reynolds from The Reynolds Center for Teaching, Learning and Creativity.

Together, Peter and Paul Reynolds are bestselling authors, storytellers, educators, and co-founders of FableVision — an educational media company focused on inspiring creativity, curiosity, and learning in children around the world. Peter has authored and illustrated over 100 books, including "The Dot". Paul is a longtime educator and creative learning advocate who works with schools and students nationwide.

They inspired our students with powerful messages about creativity, courage, and believing in the power of their ideas. Paul reviewed students' artworks and had meaningful conversations about creating and what it means to make their mark.

Our students had the opportunity to work with Paul to create an ebook centered on our 'Life Rules' at LRE, giving them a chance to share their voices in a creative and meaningful way. The encouragement to be creative, take risks, share ideas, and “make your mark” is something our students will carry with them for years to come.

Thank you to Peter and Paul Reynolds for such an inspiring day, our Principals: Mr. Sponsel & Mrs. Thompson, current and former teachers and staff who helped make the day possible, and a special thank you to Mrs. Billman of Friends of the LRES Art Room for helping bring this unforgettable experience to our school community! 💛🐆

Field Day 2026 at Lantern Road Elementary School was one for the books! ☀️🐆

From relay races and water games to nonstop smiles and cheering, our Leopards had an absolute blast celebrating the end of an amazing school year together.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our volunteers, teachers, and staff who helped make the day so special — and an extra shoutout to Fishers Freight Football for helping support this fun-filled day for our students!

We loved seeing so much joy, teamwork, and school spirit all across campus. 💛

Today we’re celebrating the leader who keeps Lantern Road running strong each and every day. Mr. Sponsel brings energy, dedication, and a steady presence to our school, always putting students, staff, and families first.

Whether he’s greeting students in the morning, supporting teachers, or jumping into the fun at school events, he truly goes above and beyond to make LRE a place where everyone feels welcomed and supported.

We’re so excited to celebrate a special milestone for our former Lantern Road Leopards!

If your student is graduating this year and attended LRE, we invite them to join us for the Senior Class of 2026 Clapout—a meaningful tradition where graduates walk the halls one more time, cheered on by current students and staff. 💚

We wrapped up Spirit Week today with “tacky sweater day” and our winter parties. We loved seeing so many parents in the building celebrating alongside their kids today. Thank you for making the time to join us!
