It was nice to have the girls back together today for an HSE eLearning day! From 9-11am we worked on assigned material from the teachers. I may have underestimated the power of friendship when it came to homework and I am beginning to see the real teacher struggle within the classroom… focus 🧘♀️ girls focus! 😂 We didn’t stop there, we headed to the Children’s Museum to exercise our bodies alongside our minds. We truly do love the outdoors!

Today’s country was Spain and learned they have 7 different languages. Spanish is the current language spoken by 99% of the population. We started the day off differently by swimming first, followed by hiking at Holiday Park (We loved their Nature Center so much!), and ending with library Ignite fun! It was our last day of camp and I think this summer has even worn me out! 😂

Today’s country was China! We learned how to say hello in Mandarin (Ni Hao), The Great Wall is 2,000 years old and 4,000 miles long, and we all agreed we loved the Giant Pandas 🐼 in the Mountains. They also learned China 🇨🇳 is located in Asia and over 1 million people a year visit China. We ventured over to the Indy Zoo today and we got to ask so many questions at all if the Discovery Stations. I think we all agreed we loved the Discovery Stations! 😂 Then he headed over to the splash pad to cool off before our afternoon China Lego Challenge!

Today’s country was Italy. We practiced a few words in Italian, learned some history of Italy, created a Coliseum model (pictures not taken), and explored some Prairie town homes of Conner Prairie. Unfortunately our day had to be cut short but we still got a lot of activities in. The weather was incredibly hot so we only spent about 40 minutes outdoors.

Today for Around the World is Germany! I read some really cool facts about Germany… the girls learned it has 9 countries bordering it and over 200 million people a year visit Germany. After our read aloud we headed to the Children’s Museum and visited the Anne Frank exhibit. This is one of their favorite exhibits! After the museum we headed to the pool for the rest of the afternoon!

It’s Around the World week at camp and today we talked about Egypt. We colored and cut out Egyptian masks, learned how to do math in Hieroglyphics, checked out some library books, explored/crafted in the Ignite center, and ended the day at Inlow splash pad! The girls had a blast and are eager for more library time! Love to see kids exhausted from enriching activities! ❤️❤️❤️

July updated! We just got the news my husband will be flying into Indianapolis Monday, July 25. Since we do not have anyone signed up for the last week of summer camp we have made the bittersweet decision to make this week our LAST week of summer camp for 2022! The girls and I are excited to spend their last week of summer with their father before school starts.
