Big shoutout to the friends of KGs Kids down south in Dallas and at SMU University for never failing to show up, show out, and show off that famous southern hospitality 🤍
From volunteering and mentoring to helping us create unforgettable experiences for these kids, your support continues to make a real impact. It takes a community to build a community, and y’all continue to prove that every single time.
We’re incredibly grateful for the kindness, energy, generosity, and heart you bring to everything we do. Texas always makes us feel at home 💙❤️

This week’s KGs Kids Book of the Week is A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle ✨📚
A timeless blend of science fiction, adventure, and heart, this story has inspired generations of young readers to stay curious, think deeply, and embrace what makes them different. Through Meg’s journey across space and time, readers are introduced to big ideas about love, courage, individuality, and the battle between fear and hope.
Books like this remind kids that intelligence and imagination go hand in hand — and that asking questions is a strength, not a weakness. 💫
If you grew up reading A Wrinkle in Time, tell us your favorite memory of it below 👇

Knowledge is power, we acknowledge and empower that.
From nights of reading and STEM days to financial literacy workshops, mentorship, volunteering, and our Karnival of Books, every event we host is built around one idea: giving kids the tools, confidence, and opportunities to grow into whoever they dream of becoming.
Representation matters. Access matters. Community matters. And seeing young boys proudly learning, reading, teaching, creating, and leading matters too. 📚✨
We’re proud to create spaces where curiosity is encouraged, knowledge is celebrated, and kids are reminded that learning is something to take pride in.
Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, volunteer, donate, teach, and believe in this mission alongside us. 💛

Step through the wardrobe and into this week’s Fun Fact Friday 📚❄️🦁
From hidden inspirations and timeline quirks to the real wardrobe that may have sparked Narnia itself, C.S. Lewis filled the series with details that still capture readers’ imaginations decades later. One of the reasons these books have remained so beloved is because Narnia doesn’t just feel like a fantasy world… it feels lived in.
Whether you grew up dreaming of lantern-lit forests and talking lions or you’re introducing the series to a new generation of readers, there’s always something magical waiting between the pages. ✨
What’s your favorite Narnia book? 👀

As an educator-led organization, we know firsthand that book fairs often aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. Too often they’re filled with financial barriers, novelty trinkets, and children leaving empty handed — or with backpacks full of everything except an actual book.
That’s why we don’t host book fairs. We throw carnivals. 🎪📚
At our carnivals, the games and activities are designed to be accessible to every child. And while there are snacks, prizes, and plenty of fun along the way, the heart of every event is still the books.
We want children to leave with positive memories, full bellies, and books in hand — probably several. Because every child deserves the joy of choosing a story that’s truly theirs 🤍

We put together some easy, low-effort indoor activities that keep kids engaged, creating, moving, and thinking without needing a screen all day. Perfect for busy families, tiny budgets, and long rainy afternoons 🤍
Save this post for the next stormy day ☔️
