Trade Show Spotlight: Alex 🐄🔥👏

Alex had an outstanding night at Trade Show, drawing strong interest all evening from visitors eager to learn more about his business and products.

He moved a great amount of inventory, secured multiple pre-orders, and created real momentum throughout the event. It was clear from the start that Alex came prepared and was ready to make the most of every conversation.

What stands out most is the confidence and professionalism he carried all night long. Alex shared how happy he was with the outcome of Trade Show; and we think that says a lot about the work he put in leading up to the event.

Trade Show was a huge finish to a successful CEO year for Alex, and we’re proud to celebrate everything he accomplished!

Trade Show Spotlight: Iain 🌿👏

Iian brought energy, adaptability, and hustle to Trade Show night.

From the moment the doors opened, he was having great conversations with guests and learning in real time how to improve his pitch. When people had questions about his planter boxes, Iian adjusted quickly, clarified his product, and kept moving forward like a true entrepreneur.

He also set a goal to sell 5 of his 9 boxes... and hit that goal by the end of the night. Since then, he’s sold even more, leaving just one left.

One of his favorite moments of the night? A friend asking Iian to sign the box he purchased. That’s a memory you don’t forget.

Iian showed exactly what this program is about: problem-solving, hard work, and learning as you go.

👋🏻 CLASS, SAY HEY TO EMILY 👋🏻

Emily joined the Prairieland CEO board last year with a perspective rooted in entrepreneurship, creativity, and real-world experience. As the owner of Mager Image, she has built a photography and videography business focused on connection, empowerment, efficiency, and authenticity; values she brings into her role on the board.

Emily sees Prairieland CEO as more than just a high school program. She values the opportunity it gives students to build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and navigate real-life challenges through hands-on experience while still having guidance along the way. Having built her own business from the ground up, she understands how rare and valuable that kind of support is.

Her approach is both practical and people-focused. She prioritizes strong communication, clear expectations, and systems that keep things running smoothly. Emily is deeply invested in the program, contributing significant time and effort behind the scenes to support its continued growth.

Outside of her work and board involvement, Emily is the wife to Brandon and mom of two very active kiddos, balancing business, family, friends, and community with intention.

We’re grateful for her efforts grounded in experience, dedication, and heart. Thanks Emily!

Trade Show Spotlight: Gavin Kief 👏

We asked each student to give us their CEO Trade Show perspective, and Gavin shared his first! He shared that Trade Show went really well and gave him the chance to connect with a lot of people throughout the night.

While the first few minutes came with some nerves, he quickly found his confidence and settled into sharing his business with guests. From familiar faces to brand new conversations, Gavin enjoyed answering questions and meeting people from across the community.

Some experiences stay with you long after the visit ends.

Our Prairieland CEO students recently had the opportunity to meet at the Atkins Golf Club with Dr. Sarah Low, Department Head of Agricultural and Consumer Economics.

From entrepreneurship and leadership to rural development and the many paths students can take after high school, Dr. Low shared insight that challenged our students to think bigger about their futures and the impact they can make in their communities.

What makes this program special is moments like these; real conversations with accomplished leaders who generously invest their time in the next generation.

Thank you, Dr. Sarah Low, for welcoming our class, sharing your story, and inspiring our students with your wisdom and encouragement.

Guess what… 👀

We’re extending the Prairieland CEO application deadline to April 30th!!

Honestly, it seemed a little silly to have the original deadline set before Trade Show. It is one of the biggest opportunities for students to see what CEO is all about after all.

So, we corrected the oversight.

Now students got to visit Trade Show, experience the program firsthand, ask questions, and can then make their decision with the full picture in mind. Just makes sense, right??

SO if you’ve been thinking about applying, this is your chance.
