There will be no before school care on Thursday, March 20th. After school care will continue as normal.

2-Hour Late Start on Thursday, March 20th

Due to poor gravel road conditions, Norris School District will have a 2-hour late start on Thursday, March 20th. Depending on road conditions tomorrow, the transportation department may implement alternate pick-up locations for students. If any changes are necessary, families will be notified in advance. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate the unpredictable weather.

We understand Norris families have been impacted by wide-spread power outages and poor gravel road conditions. If you choose to keep your student(s) home tomorrow due to the weather, per policy, the absence will be excused. If you plan to keep your child(ren) home, please notify the appropriate office.

AM Pre-School, morning activities, and practices are canceled.

Elementary School: 10:25 AM
Intermediate School: 10:30 AM
Middle School: 10:30 AM
High School: 10:25 AM

There will be no after school care on Tuesday, March 4th.

Due to the Extreme High Wind Warning, Norris School District will have a 2-Hour EARLY dismissal on Tuesday, March 4th. There will be no evening activities on the Norris campus. The National Weather Service is predicting wind gusts of 60 mph+ after 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 4th.
Additionally, we are in a Winter Weather Advisory from 6 PM on Tuesday, March 4th until 3 AM on Wednesday, March 5th. A decision regarding any changes to the school day on Wednesday will be made at a later time.
The 2-Hour EARLY dismissal schedule for Tuesday, March 4th is as follows:
Elementary School - 1:25 PM
Intermediate School - 1:30 PM
Middle School - 1:30 PM
High School - 1:27 PM
Norris School District will continue to monitor the impact of the severe weather forecasted for our area. Additionally, information will be shared at a later time regarding Wednesday’s schedule.

There will be no before school care tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21st.

Due to the National Weather Service’s forecast of wind chills ranging from -20°F to -35°F, along with high winds, Norris School District will have a two-hour late start on Tuesday, January 21st. These conditions present potential safety risks, and we want to ensure the well-being of all our students and staff.
Building start times will be as follows:

Elementary School: 10:25 AM
Intermediate School: 10:30 AM
Middle School: 10:30 AM
High School: 10:25 AM

Buses will run accordingly and there is no AM preschool or activities.

Please dress warmly and travel safely. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
