A trip to Amish Country this past weekend meant one very important thing for Mrs. Miller… apple taste testing for our class! 🍎

Our CKLA unit right now is all about the 5 Senses, so I put those scientists to work! We investigated each apple using our senses. We looked at the colors and shapes, felt the different textures, smelled them and, of course, tasted them! We tried McIntosh, Yellow Delicious, Honeycrisp and Jonathan apples. Hands down, Yellow Delicious was the winner! 💛

The turtles are already excited because tomorrow we get to turn our apples into applesauce! 🍎🥄 Our room is going to smell so good!

Catching up on a WHOLE week’s worth of pictures that I somehow forgot to upload! 😂 We have been busy learning, earning and having lots of fun!

🪙 Students have been earning chips for great behavior, working hard and being a good friend. Friends have chosen some fun rewards too, including eating lunch with me, visiting Mrs. Bauman for a positive meeting and prize and enjoying our VIP Toolbox with smelly markers and twistable crayons!

🐢 Thunder has been busy having sleepovers! He has gone home with lots of friends and joined their families for some pretty fun adventures. He visited the fire station, ate lots of Happy Meals and even rode a ROBOT! 😂 I love seeing where Thunder gets to go!

🔤 ABC Boot Camp continues, along with name-writing practice and fun crafts. ✂️ We are also getting SO much better with our scissors!

It has been such a fun week of learning, friendship and celebrating all the little wins. Have an AMAZING weekend! 💙🐢

This year, our class is excited to read with Scholastic Book Clubs! It’s a great way to build up your child’s book collection at home and help them improve their reading skills. And when you shop with Clubs, your orders earn points I can redeem for books and other classroom supplies we need.

Here’s how it works: I’ll send home flyers throughout the year. If you decide to place an order, you can do that through our class ordering page. Your books will arrive at school about 10 days after I submit our classroom order.
