Heartstring Melodies specializes in providing quality music therapy services to children and young adults in the area. We believe that creating a musical environment that is both fun and engaging will allow for individuals with special needs to be creative and reach their maximum potential. Music therapy is an established research-based profession in which music is used within a therapeutic relati

onship to address goals such as social, emotional, communication, physical, sensory, and cognitive needs. According to the American Music Therapy Association, music therapy is “the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program.”

You and fellow rockers will explore playing and/or creating music from different genres and develop teamwork skills along the way. The best part? No auditions! No prior music experience needed! The movie Inside Out asked us: "Do you ever look at someone and wonder what is going on inside their head?" And we have the musical answer! Music provides a wonderful medium for the expression of feelings, with or without words. Through this camp participants will explore the connections between music and emotions through songwriting, improvising, movement, and reflection. Participants will also explore ways they can use music to connect with, express, and regulate their emotions.

Please note that pre-registration is required.

It’s time! After a weekend full of anticipation, our new Toledo office is ready for you! Join us for an open house—HAPPENING NOW! Tour our beautiful building, say hi to Jaclyn and the rest of the Heartstring Melodies team, and enjoy light refreshments. As a reminder, all Toledo sessions will resume at the new office Monday, July 6th.

BREAKING NEWS! WE'RE MOVING!

Over the past 12 years, Heartstring Melodies has grown and expanded to reach more participants and communities in Toledo! With our current participants’ and community partners needs in mind, along with our hopes for the future of the business, it’s time for a change in scenery! We have been searching for the last six months for the space that we could call home for years to come. That search officially came to a close today when Amy (Founder, Director of Business Operations) signed the lease!

Our New Location
Our new Toledo office is located at 4027 N Holland Sylvania Rd. The new space features bright, natural lighting, spacious treatment spaces for individual and group sessions alike, a welcoming waiting area, and recently completed repairs to the building. We’re excited for this new chapter!

Moving Dates
We will begin the moving process on Thursday, July 2nd and continue through the weekend. Want to get a look at the space before sessions resume next week? Join us for an “open house” on Sunday, July 5th from 11 am to 1 pm!
