Tis the season for all things spooky! One of our favorite community events in Toledo is the annual Sunshine Communities Spooky Boardwalk, where community members can begin their Autumnal celebrations with the residents of Sunshine Communities and community organizations alike. A free, family-friendly event, Spooky Boardwalk is an event you don't want to miss! Heartstring Melodies will be in attendance for the *FOURTH* year, so come say "hi," stock-up early on Halloween goodies, and celebrate the ways our communities come together. Hope to see you then!

Happy National Coffee Day! Heartstring Melodies runs on coffee…here are our favorites!

Amy: “My favorite coffee place used to be George House in Findlay. I loved their grasshopper which was a chocolate mint drink 🙂 they are unfortunately now closed but used to have books and little nooks you could hang out with friends or sit and do work/read. It was right across from UF campus”

Lorna: “Woohoo coffee! At home I tend to go for a Michigan Cherry coffee pod from Meijer plus amaretto creamer. (I'm not very fancy lol) Out and about typically anything with caramel (iced or hot).”

Jaclyn: “My house speciality is called a Brown Bunny latte, after all the bunnies that were in my yard this year!! It’s a double shot (or triple, depending on the day…) of espresso brewed over about a half tbsp of brown sugar. I use oat milk and a splash of vanilla creamer to top it off.”
