More people have been visiting this page recently, so I've decided to post some videos from shows my students have put on over the past few years. First up, a performance of Comfortably Numb by a group of my students in 2012.

Studio D has relocated to 804 6th Street, still here in Findlay OH. My listed hours of operation indicate that I teach from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday through Thursday, but I am now able to offer top quality music instruction at almost any time of the day or night, which will be of interest to home-schoolers, 2nd & 3rd-shifters, adult beginners, and anyone else who needs an unusual time for lessons. Also, I've added harmonica and ukulele to my list of instruments taught here. I now offer basic instruction on blues harmonica. I'm no Johnny Reed but I played a lot of blues harp when I was younger. Nice to get back at it. :)

This page provides contact numbers and other information for music lessons at Studio D.

As an instrumentalist I teach guitar and bass guitar, primarily in pop/rock, blues, and classical music styles. I coach vocalists who want to learn popular vocal styles, and I also teach music theory and composition from basic to advanced levels.

I've been an active musician/performer for more than 50 years. My background includes private studies in classical guitar with Jerry Willard and Michael Houlihan in Cleveland OH, Sophocles Papas in Washington DC, and Nelson Amos in Ann Arbor MI. I also studied music composition with Michael Jon Fink in Los Angeles CA.

I welcome beginners, and I teach students ranging in age from 8 to 80. I encourage performance if the student is so inclined, to which end we have student shows at least twice a year (hosted by the good folks at Coffee Amici here in Findlay).
