🦅 Liberty-Benton staff officially kicked off the 2026–2027 school year together during Convocation Day on August 19!

The morning began with a hot breakfast prepared by Wendy Leady and our wonderful kitchen staff, followed by the annual all-staff photo and a district-wide kickoff in the Performing Arts Auditorium.

A special part of the morning was recognizing 28 staff members celebrating milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years of service to Liberty-Benton. 👏

Superintendent Bruce Otley delivered a keynote message to help frame the year ahead, centered around three important words: Motivate. Inspire. Care. ❤️

It was a great morning of celebration, connection, and preparation for another great year at Liberty-Benton. Welcome back, Eagles!

💜⭐ Liberty-Benton is proud to be a Purple Star School District, committed to supporting our military-connected students and families.

This year, students may notice a purple star displayed near some staff members' classroom or office doors. These stars identify staff members who have a connection to the U.S. Military, whether they are veterans themselves or have a parent, spouse, sibling, child, or close relative who is currently serving or has served.

For our military-connected students, these stars remind you that you are not alone. They make it easy to find a friendly face who understands the military experience and is always available to listen and offer support. 🇺🇸
