Learning History Beyond the Classroom!
Some of our 4th grade Roadrunners had the opportunity to visit Rancho Camulos Museum and step back in time to learn about what life was like for early settlers in our local area. Students explored the historic site and gained a deeper understanding of daily life, traditions, and the experiences of those who lived here long ago. We’re excited for our other 4th grade classes to have their turn visiting soon!

📚 A Big Thank You to Local Author Brittany Domenick! 📚
We are so grateful to local author Brittany Domenick for visiting Rio Vista and sharing her wonderful book, Gracie the Goat and Her Big Feeling! Our younger Roadrunners had the special opportunity to listen to Brittany read her story while learning about emotions, big feelings, and healthy ways to manage them. What a meaningful way to help our students build their social-emotional skills!
Thank you, Brittany, for spending time with our Roadrunners and helping make reading and learning about feelings so much fun!

First graders at Rio Vista became shadow scientists today! They traced their shadows in chalk in the morning, then came back in the afternoon to see how they changed. They discovered that the position of the sun in the sky makes their shadows change, and since the sun follows the same pattern every day, so do our shadows!
